UDiscovering is exhibiting at The Arc’s 2013 National Convention from August 3–5 in Bellevue, Washington, on Seattle’s East Side. We will be highlighting our latest product, Discovering Behavioral Intervention: A Parent’s Interactive Guide to Applied Behavior Analysis (DBI). Come visit us at booth 306 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue to learn more, and enter our raffle to win a three-month subscription of DBI.

DBI is a 10-module, online learning guide to applied behavior analysis (ABA) for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder. DBI was created by child development experts at UMass Medical School’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center, in partnership with parents of children on the spectrum. The guide uses a mix of family-friendly text, videos, interactive graphics, and immersion exercises to teach why ABA is so commonly recommended and how it should be conducted. Parents also learn how to advocate for and secure high-quality behavioral services, and effectively monitor and evaluate their child's progress.

In addition to parents, professionals who provide ABA services, participate on an interdisciplinary team, or supervise others in an early intervention program for children with autism will find DBI to be a valuable resource for their professional toolbox. DBI teaches ABA while providing an inside look at how families cope with an autism diagnosis.
