ABAI Minneapolis

UDiscovering is exhibiting at the ABAI 39th Annual Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota from May 24 to 28. We will be highlighting our latest product, Discovering Behavioral Intervention: A Parent’s Interactive Guide to Applied Behavior Analysis (DBI). Come visit us at booth 504 at the Minneapolis Convention Center to learn more, and enter our raffle to win a three-month subscription of DBI.

DBI is an online learning guide to applied behavior analysis (ABA) for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder. ABA is an evidence-based and highly recommended intervention for autism. DBI was created by child development experts at UMass Medical School’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center, in partnership with parents of children with autism. Professionals who provide ABA services, participate on an interdisciplinary team, or supervise others in an early intervention program for children with autism will find DBI to be a valuable resource for their professional toolbox. DBI teaches ABA while providing an inside look at how families cope with an autism diagnosis.

In addition, Richard W. Serna, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology at UMass Lowell and course developer of Learning ABA!, a soon-to-be-launched UDiscovering product offering, will lead a presentation titled Interventions in Online Skill Training for Paraprofessionals in Early Behavioral Intervention. The presentation will provide an overview of Learning ABA!, an innovative program of research and development aimed at training paraprofessionals through the use of online distance training. Richard K. Fleming, Ph.D. of UMass Boston and Charles Hamad, Ph.D. of UMass Medical School are among the co-presenters.
