UDiscovering to participate in Light It Up Blue event

March 07, 2013
UMass Light It Up Blue

UDiscovering is joining the University of Massachusetts Medical School to support the Autism Speaks campaign, Light It Up Blue, in celebration of World Autism Day. The event is cosponsored by MA Act Early, the Autism Resource Center of Central Massachusetts, and the Child and Adolescent NeuroDevelopmental Initiative at UMass Medical School.

UDiscovering will be participating in the event’s provider resource fair to highlight its new online training program for families of children with autism. The program, Discovering Behavioral Intervention: A Parent’s Interactive Guide to Applied Behavior Analysis, was created by child development experts at UMass Medical School’s Shriver Center. UDiscovering will offer a special discount for attendees who visit its resource table.

Other event activities include special guest speakers, a screening of “Autism the Musical,” and lighting of the UMass Medical School building. Light refreshments will be served. Visit The Autism Resource Center to learn more about the event.
